Mileage per Gallon

Posted by admin under Sports Cars

Sports cars are built for speed, not comfort. Some prefer to drive in the fast lane watching the other cars go by which makes these people go to a dealer and buy one. There are other reasons why a person will prefer to buy one brand over the other. This can be the appearance of the vehicle, the smart engine onboard, or how fast it can accelerate in less than 10 seconds.

With the price of fuel going up, people are more conservative about buying a sports car and one of the main questions that a customer will ask the sales person is how many miles per gallon of fuel does the car consume.

For comparison, 2 cars will be chosen and the figures given will be based on the records of the Department of Energy.

One car that is very well known throughout the world and is one of the best sports cars ever made is the 2003 BMW Z4 Roadster. This car uses premium gas and gets 20 miles per gallon for city driving and 28 miles per gallon on n the highway or an average of 23 miles per gallon.

Another good brand that is known worldwide is Jaguar. Its sports car, the 2004 Jaguar XK8, gets 18 miles per gallon in city driving conditions and 26 miles per gallon on the highway for an average of 21 miles per gallon.

As the figures show, one is able to use less gas in city driving conditions while the other performs better in the highway. The figures above are not definite since the fuel economy varies and is dependent on how the person drives the sports car.

There are many other sports cars in the market that one can compare before choosing the right vehicle to drive off the dealers lot. The deciding factor will then depend on a persons preference.

The sports car is truly an amazing machine that will keep the driver and passenger on the edge of there seats at all times. Though there is not that much difference between these 2 sports cars, the gasoline mileage per gallon is an important factor that people will think about before choosing to buy one sports car over another.

Keeping Your Sports Car in Shape

Posted by admin under Sports Cars

Making sure that your sports car is in shape all of the time is not difficult. All it takes is preventive maintenance to avoid the hassle of taking it to a repair shop when the engine suddenly dies or the lights in the control panel light up.

One of the leading car manufacturers in the world is BMW. Not everyone can afford to buy a sports car from this company but here are some tips that will help you maintain your sports car…

Before going out for a drive, it is wise to check the brakes, the tires, the oil and the steering system to make sure that everything is normal. If while driving the car, you hear a sound or noise that was not there before, take it to your mechanic or local repair shop to have it checked.

Have the mechanic check all the parts or the of the ignition system, for example: check the spark plugs as their condition is a very good indicator of how the engine is performing. They should be changed every 100,000 miles but there is no harm in checking them every 30,000 miles just to be sure that everything is alright.

The rotor and distributor cap are made up of plastic which deteriorate over time due to wear and tear. To make sure that these are not causing any problems when starting the vehicle have them checked/.

The filter acts as a deterrent against rust and other harmful objects that may disrupt the performance of your vehicle. There several filters such as those for oil or fuel. These filters should be checked frequently about every 3,000 miles.

The cars mileage can be checked by calculating the amount of fuel purchased and the miles driven as shown by the odometer before and after fueling. If there is a sudden change in the number of miles per gallon, be concerned and take the car to the repair shop for analysis.

In the event that the cars sensor lights come on, pull the car over to the side of the road then call for help. There is a possibility that the problem can be remedied there or it may have to towed to a repair shop.

Even if sports cars come with better and smarter engines, the possibility of something going wrong is still there. By taking every precaution, the driver can get to the place where he wants to go safely.

Ford On The Move Towards Bringing Up Pickup Truck Sales

Going back to the Ford Motor Company history, the line up of pickup trucks from this company actually has been the flagship among all vehicle line ups. And for Ford, losing a great deal in sales for this line also means a huge amount of loss for their entire sales. Due to the recent and continuous increase of gas and fuel prices, auto consumers have been leaning towards more fuel efficient cars and vehicles and heading away from pick up trucks which have been known to be efficient transporters of people and cargo but low on miles per gallon of gas.

And now, the company is out to make sure that the automotive world does not forget about the Ford pickup trucks. As part of this move, they have made sure that auto consumers would be getting more perks if they do opt to buy a pickup truck. This tactic has been used by many dealers who also offer used Ford F350 parts more incentives to equate to more sales. And the Ford F-Series pickup trucks can now be purchased with more incentives.

According to Lydia Cisaruk, the spokesperson for the company, this kind of incentive for the Ford F-series pickup trucks has been selected to run as part of the companys Drive On Us campaign on boosting up sales. Since last Friday, anyone interested in purchasing a new Ford F-series pickup truck could avail of discounts which could range from $500 up to a $1000 which is, of course, a huge savings for anyone. However, the whole promo would only be available up until the last day of this month.

The Ford F-series pickup trucks have been in production since 1948. It has been built as a full size pickup truck. The Chevrolet Silverado, Nissan Titan, Dodge Ram, and Toyota Tundra have been those vehicles which the Ford F-series have considered as competition in the market.
